Mayor Rose leads the distribution of school supplies to a total of 1000 students of the 21 different primary schools in Lamitan. The selection of schools and students was in accordance with DepEd’s assessment of the poorest and most depressed primary schools in Lamitan.

The distribution is the highlight of the Lady Mayor’s “Handog Kaarawan” Outreach Program held this morning alongside with the ROSE Health caravan.

Every year, Mayor Rose sees to it that the poorest of the poor will be given school supplies consisting of notepads, writing pads, ballpens, pencils, a school bag, rubber slippers, and a hygiene kit to further inspire these kids to pursue education despite poverty as free and accessible education is one of the priorities of her administration.

Aside from receiving free school supplies, these kids were given anti-measles vaccine, anti-polio vaccine (for boys), and multivitamins. Parents, too, were given free medical consultations and free vegetable seeds.

The City Government of Lamitan is also blessed to have partners who aid in the conduct of the ROSE Caravan.

Thank you, Mayor Rose, for helping each and every Lamiteño whenever.

More power and God Bless you and your administration!
